"Ask Me" Program Website Launch |
|
Event Description: ETSU is eager to help all our students, undergraduate and graduate, achieve their educational goals. Often, however, students don't know where to turn when they have questions or problems related to being in college. The purpose of the ASK ME Program is to make it easier for students to share their questions with ETSU's faculty and staff, so we can connect them with the help they need. We encourage you to become an "ASK ME" Volunteer. As an "ASK ME" Volunteer, your job is simple, but vitally important - to listen to our students' questions and help them get answers. Once you have completed the 3 brief, online training modules, you will be provided with an "ASK ME" desk sign and static cling sticker to be placed near your office or office space. Your ASK ME desk sign means all students and all questions are welcome. You don't have to know the answer to every question but you are willing to provide a ready point of contact for our students and refer them to offices and individuals who can help. The "ASK ME" booklet is an important source of help for ASK ME Volunteers. This booklet is now online. In fact, the ASK ME Program has recently launched a new webpage with information about the program, online training modules for becoming an ASK ME Volunteer, an online, searchable, booklet as well as a printable booklet. All faculty and staff are urged to become familiar with the ASK ME website as a source of information about many of our students' most frequently asked questions. And, of most importance, consider becoming an ASK ME volunteer to help our students --- Stay...Succeed...Graduate. For information on the ASK ME program, email Dr. Carla Warner at warnerc@etsu.edu and place "ASK ME" in the subject line. |
