Described as “full of contagious musical expression”, “musically refreshing and satisfying”, and “an aural and visual treat guaranteed to please”, the Mirari Brass Quintet is comprised of five friends who truly believe in the intrinsic value of music in our world. The group has performed in more than twenty-five states from coast to coast and has held clinics and residencies at Cornell University, San Francisco State University, Brigham Young University-Idaho, University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam), Western Carolina University, and Georgia State University among many others. Founded in 2009 in Bloomington, Indiana, the members of the Mirari Brass now teach at universities in Arkansas, Idaho, Ohio, and Tennessee and have played with ensembles including the Charlotte Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Reno Philharmonic, Paducah Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, Columbus Symphony, Fountain City Brass Band, and Richmond Symphony.
